At the outset, the goal of this conference was to inform our teams on how to treat disability in the workplace, but Jérôme took us much further than that; he proved to us that a disability can be overcome (to the extent that a participant at the conference later confided that it took him time to understand that J. Adam was visually disabled). Jérôme is no idle dreamer, and yet he gives off optimism and radiates strength. He’s a bit the steam roller of positive thinking..
Contrary to what I may have first thought, at no point did I feel pity (it’s so not his style!). I was simply floored by his courage in the face of adversity—an attitude both very much to the audience’s liking, and very successful. And all this wrapped in a delightful sense of humor.
We thank him again for his teachings… and to have surprised us!
